  Loved the manuscript exhibition - their exhibition fabrication department has done an excellent job with the unobtrusive mounts for the books!

  Definitely worth checking out if you're in town. Lots of East coast art, obviously. Small but decent collect of older European art. Perfect for a rainy out cloudy day in Halifax. Won't take you more than 2 hours - probably less.

  I had a wonderful experience here. The staff are very friendly and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed the Maud Lewis exhibit.

  The shows were great. The place is hard to navigate but the maps and directions are clear. The staff was... Strange. The person at the front desk really doesnt like the local art school? A new personnel was getting trained while we were trying to view art, it was really distracting. The person training him talked very loudly in the galleries. Our group was constantly referred to as girls despite containing no girls and clearly at least one man. We went specifically for the illuminated manuscript show and it was very well done.
