  There was an older married couple managing the place back then and they were wonderful people indeed, most likely passed on now, as it is nearly 30 years ago!. I stayed in Halifax for 3 months waiting for the wrestling season to begin with Emil Dupree, the promoter, only to learn he would cancel the season!. back to Richmond, BC for me. The long drive back.. Memories :))

  The guy at the front desk was alright. Didn't ask any questions about our stay or how it was. Gave us no receipt after checkout and said " bye ". It Doesn't seem as If they're in the mood to have customers stay there.

  5 minutes to Halifax Shopping Center and a walking distance to major bus routes. I gotta agree with some of the previous comments, it was dated but really clean. Definitely worth the price. A no-frills, comfortable stay.

  The next morning, we got a call at 11:01 (check out time is 11:00 am) telling us its time to leave and hung up.. Never have I been to a motel/hotel and had a call to the room being told to leave. Unreal.. Especially literally one minute after checkout.

  I remember staying here back in 1990, it was the Bicentennial at that time. My 1st time in Halifax, NS and I recall the sea king helicopters fly over the motel when the Navy returned from the Gulf War.

  The sink and toilet had hair in it which was pretty gross. We didn't shower here so no feed back on that. Half the toilet paper roll was used, just the end piece folded neatly to be reused .

  Overall you get what you pay for, and in this case, it shouldn't be surprised. I can easily say I've stayed at way nicer places for the same, or cheaper prices. Won't be going back.

  And took they 100 for damage deposit out my account.when I arrived they took the money for my room 104. Therefore they complaint about having more guest in the room harassing my guests about being not there after 11. which wasn't in the policy. The manager call the cops on us becaues When we went down to say, what we have to say about harassing my guests..We have the right to know these conditions known we want our money back. 204.00 is a lot of money to take when we didn't get to enjoy our night with family & friends. when I asked for our money back they took other 104 bucks out of account cuz the cops told us to do so. Now that they owe me 304.00. Beacuse we didn't stay in the motel for the night. we didn't understand why they're harassing my guests..because they went out to have a smoke.also I didn't get my coffee and toast..We didn't get kick out we just want our money back but end up taken more of my money. rip me off 304...plz give me my money back or I will have take this to other whole level..

  The motel was pretty much what we expected for the price. Dated rooms, cold hallways/elevators, and not an overly inviting environment. The room itself wasn't terrible. The beds were pretty comfy but had wheels on the bottom, so the bed kept rolling away from the wall with every move you make.
