  This place is afraid of flavor. I've never had garlic sauce that tasted so bland before. Tabbouleh is dry and flavorless. Hummus is just paste. Tahini is just as pale and disappointing. Falafel is like a cakepop from the Sahara desert. Chicken Shawarma was dry and could have been saved with some sauce, but all of the sauces are just wet blandness... Last time I ordered take out, a drink was missing, and only one fork and one napkin were included for three meals. Especially disappointing since this is one of the few takeout places open late in the area.

  Chicken shawarma was good, but the salad was, fatoush, was not fresh. Tabouli was dry too, and for $13 I was disappointed.

  I ordered from Halal Basha last night. It was my first and last time. My order was $77 and there was barely enough food for two people. It was 30 minutes late and cold. When I called to find out the eta for my order I was met with confusion and it was in terrible condition when it arrived. My shwarma wrap was over $9 and was about the size if a hot-dog bun and looked like it had been dropped. My partner's Basha wrap was in the same condition. The Baklava was overcooked or just old and re-heated. It had that texture that filo pastry has when it gets microwaved, it was gross. The remake took another 35 minutes to arrive and I ended up spending over 2 hours total waiting for their food to arrive. When the remake finally arrived it was bland and unsatisfying. If you're looking for a Mediterranean place in Halifax, you might want to look elsewhere. When you see the other reviews that say 'not well made' take them seriously. I wish I had. I usually try and take 1 star reviews with a grain of salt, but in this case they are very accurate. I was completely disappointed in my dining experience from Halal Basha Restaurant.

  Ambience was average but the food was awesome.
